Osram Opto Semiconductors is expanding its portfolio of high-power LEDs for general lighting with the OSCONIQ P3030. Using their many years of experience in the automotive sector, developers transferred their knowledge of combining lead-frame technology with high-performance chips to high-volume products for the general lighting industry. Compared with the ceramic packages commonly used in this field, Osram’s new package provides customers a more robust component with a longer lifetime. The specially developed SMD (Surface Mounted Device) package with silicone lens provides outstanding brightness and efficiency values, as well as a better lumens-per-dollar ratio than ceramic packages used in similar applications. IHS ‘Ready to Grow’ horticultural LED grow lights named as Innovative New Product Winner at HTA National Plant Show

IHS was recently thrilled to be named the Innovation winner in the New Product Showcase at the National Plant Show (NPS), an annual event run by the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA).

Recent LLFY Osram Iberia Horticultural Workshops

In late November 2018, Intelligent Horticultural Solutions (IHS) were proud to showcase their recently launched range of ‘Ready to Grow’ Florence LED Lights at Osram’s LED Light for You (LLFY) horticultural workshops in Spain.

Osram makes car keys superfluous: unlocking with iris scans and facial recognition

Biometric identification offers many benefits, not least the time and frustration saved in searching for car keys. For example, if more than one person uses the same car, personalised information such as the seat position and favourite radio stations can be automatically set as soon the person steps into the car. In future, Synios SFH 4772S A01 or Synios SFH 4775S A01 will help the vehicle identify the driver using iris scanning or facial recognition, unlock the doors and even disable the engine immobiliser.
