BioMon – SFH7050

BioMon SFH 7050 sensor for automatic fitness tracking from Osram Opto Semiconductors. The emitters may be individually controlled, so that the sensor can be used for various applications. Green light has been established as the best option for the pulse measurements on the wrist. Red or infrared emitters are generally preferred for pulse measurement on the finger, because they can also measure the oxygen content of the blood (pulse oximetry).

BioMon SFH7051

BioMon SFH 7051 sensor. The SFH 7051 consists of a large-format photo diode and three green LEDs with a wavelength of 530 nanometres (nm). It is used for monitoring heart rate by measuring the volume of blood passing through blood vessels. It works by shining light on the surface of the skin. Different amounts of this light are absorbed by blood and the surrounding tissue. The light not absorbed is reflected to the detector. With its green emission spectrum the SFH 7051 is ideal for measuring the pulse rate at the wrist.

BioMon – SFH7060

BioMon SFH7060 sensor is a combination of the SFH7050 and the SFH7051 sensor. Each coloured die and the large detector can be individually controlled via individual connections. Green light has been established as the best option for the pulse measurements on the wrist. Red and Infrared emitters are generally preferred for pulse measurements on the finger. The green light is best suited for pulse rate measurements at the wrist.
